The Brookmeade & Querbes / Pierremont Park SSO Mitigation project is a $14 million
investment to replace nearly 2 miles of gravity sewer and eliminate recurring sewer
overflows. The sewer overflows are caused by capacity restrictions and deteriorated gravity
sewer pipes.
The City of Shreveport and the Program Team hosted a public meeting for the project at the
Querbes Recreational Center on September 21, 2022. The purpose of the meeting was to
educate residents about the project and listen to any questions or concerns about construction.
